Then about a year ago, after another hi fi upgrade, I decided I only wanted lossless in my library for those tracks where I own the CD, so another massive undertaking getting lossless versions of everything in whilst preserving all play counts, ratings, playlists etc.Īnd this morning, I've finished! Then I got a decent hi fi system so decided to upgrade to 256 on key parts of my collection. "O" for if I own the CD, "IT" for an iTunes download, "C" if it's a copy of a CD I don't own etc.) Then I decided to use the "Grouping" field to show the origin of the file (e.g. I started off all those years ago ripping my CDs to 128kbps, then one day I decided to try 192 to see if I could hear a difference and dammit I could, so ripped them all again.
